What is Cryptojacking?

Cryptojacking is the process of using a victim's device to mine cryptocurrency without their knowledge. The term was coined in 2017 and is used to describe malware that uses a victim's computer processing power for mining.

This can happen when the victim visits a website or opens an email attachment containing malicious code or if they are running an infected operating system.
