What is a Worm?

A worm is a type of malware that is designed to spread quickly from one computer to another, often without the user's knowledge or consent.

Worms can be used to exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems, spread spam, or launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. Some worms are designed to steal information from infected systems.

Worms can be very destructive, and can cause significant damage to computer systems and networks.

Some common worms include the Conficker worm, the Sasser worm, and the Mydoom worm.

There are many different types of worms, and new worms are being created all the time.It is important to keep your computer's software up-to-date and to use a good antivirus program to help protect your system from worms and other types of malware.

You can also help protect your computer by being careful about what you click on and what you download.

Never open attachments or click on links in emails from people you don't know, and be especially careful about emails that appear to be from banks or other financial institutions.

It is also a good idea to install a firewall on your computer to help protect you from online threats.
