What is a Brute Force Attack?

A brute force attack is a method of defeating a security system by trying every possible combination of passwords or other authentication factors until the correct one is found.

Brute force attacks can be used to gain access to systems, networks, or online accounts. They are often used to break into systems that use weak passwords.

Brute force attacks can be prevented or defended against by using strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and other security measures.

Brute force attacks are also known as exhaustive attacks, password attacks, or dictionary attacks.

Here are a few examples:

1. If you wanted to try every possible combination of letters and numbers to unlock your phone, you would be using a brute force attack.

2. If you wanted to try every word in the dictionary to unlock your online bank account, you would be using a brute force attack.

3. If you wanted to try every possible password combination to gain access to a computer system, you would be using a brute force attack.
